In 2023 AJGS became part of AJHS. As a result, all memberships are now administered by AJHS. The following membership information pertains to the national Australian Jewish Genealogical Society, based in Sydney. We primarily represent NSW, ACT, QLD, SA and TAS. We are happy to accept members from all around Australia.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP
There are many benefits to joining AJGS through AJHS. First and foremost you gain access to the research skills and experience of your fellow members and the extensive resources of both the AJGS library and the AJHS Library during our regular workshops.
You will also receive a monthly newsletter with details of upcoming events and a link to our quarterly journal, Kosher Koala, when it is published online. All of these resources will help you in your research journey and assist you in building up a rich and colourful family history.
JOIN/ RENEW
AJGS is now part of AJHS. To join AJGS please go to the AJHS Membership page and join there. This entitles you to the benefits of both organisations. AJGS membership renewals will now come from AJHS. The renewal date will be 12 months from the date of joining and will be managed by AJHS. For more information go to the AJHS Membership page.
FAMILY FINDER
AJGS maintains a database of members research interests, called the Family Finder, so we can connect those with similar interests together. This might help you find valuable information about your family and may even connect you to long lost cousins!
Family Finder data is only available to AJGS members. Please see our Privacy and Disclaimer Statement on the ABOUT US page for more information.
JewishGen also has a Family Finder available to registered JewishGen members. This family finder has global reach and may assist you in connecting with researchers with similar interests from around the world.
